New posters for Avengers: Infinity War team up the numerous Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes. Marvel Studios is bringing together all their characters from the last ten years. In an effort to combat Thanos’ impending arrival, the superheroes audiences have come to know and love will join forces finally. The crossover will pay off big time for fans as the Guardians of the Galaxy mix it up with the Avengers. Not only that, but Spider-Man is officially becomes an Avenger, and meeting (and mocking) Doctor Strange in the process.

While the trailers have primarily focused on the threat of Thanos and how unbeatable he’ll appear to be, the other big take away for fans is seeing some of these character pairings. Whether its Thor (Chris Hemsworth) teaming up with Rocket and Groot or Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) bringing the facial hair bros to the big screen, there’s fun to be had. Some of these pairings are further spotlighted in new posters.

Marvel debuted five new poster for Avengers: Infinity War today that split up the all-star cast. Some of the pairings are as expected, but others are surprising. Meanwhile, they don’t include Thanos (a rarity for anything from Infinity War’s marketing campaign) and once again is lacking in Hawkeye.

When it comes to the unsurprising pairings, the “Team Iron Man” and “Team Guardians” posters make the most sense. Iron Man’s has Strange, Spidey, and Wong - a team that’s been together throughout the marketing. The Guardians poster features the original five members and Thor, which is an encounter we’ve been shown plenty of. But, the Guardians are split up a bit as Nebula and Mantis are on the “Team Captain America” poster. That poster obviously pairs Cap and Bucky aka White Wolf together, but also includes Black Panther breakout Shuri - who is responsible for Bucky’s new outlook. The “Team Black Panther” poster keeps T’Challa and Okoye together, while repairing Black Widow and Hulk up. Finally, the “Team Vision(?)” poster keeps Scarlet Witch and Vision together, but does the inclusion of Falcon and War Machine reveal they’ll be tasked with protecting the Mind Stone?

Speaking of the Mind Stone, the posters are also colored with the various hues of the Infinity Stones. Vision’s being yellow (coordinating with the Mind Stone) makes sense, but the other’s aren’t as cut and dry. Cap’s group gets blue for the Space Stone, and Loki’s the one linked to the Tesseract currently. Iron Man’s poster has red for the Reality Stone, and noticeably not green for the Time Stone Strange houses around his neck. Green instead goes to Black Panther’s group. Lastly, the Guardians get purple for the Power Stone, which does line up since they were able to wield its power at one time. The only Infinity Stone color missing? The Soul Stone’s orange, adding more mystery to what’s going on with the final stone.
