However, Apple devices may have better wireless charging solution. The report further says that upcoming iPhones and iPads can be charged even it is kept away from a supposed mat, hence making it really wireless. Apple is presently working to avoid technical blockade, or loss of power while moving away, when we charge our iPhone....

Great news for Apple fans! The new iPhone SE 2 is out with great features and a reduced price tag. Apple likes to call it iPhone SE 2nd generation, however its a 2nd alteration of the original iPhone SE. Analysts have been expecting this fall’s iPhone 8 to prompt a so-called ‘super cycle’ for weeks, and now Credit Suisse is the latest to push that expectation. Apple today released the third beta of iOS 15.5 to developers, and while the update doesn’t seem to have any significant changes, Apple has made an interesting tweak to its native Photos app. The system will now block “Sensitive Locations” for Memories in the Photos app. For those unfamiliar, Memories is a feature of the Photos app on iOS and macOS that recognizes people, places, and events in your photo library to automatically create “curated collections” with a slideshow....

Apple said today at the new iPad unveiling that the device runs iOS 5.1, which is an unreleased version of its mobile operating system featuring Siri in Japanese, several camera app tweaks, and other little nice-to-haves. Interesting, this update also “addresses bugs affecting battery life.” Other features include new podcast controls for playback speed on iPad, the redesigned camera app on iPads, the always-visible camera shortcut on the lock screen, updated AT&T network indicator, Genius Mixes and Genius playlist for iTunes Match subscribers and more....

Three weeks following the previous seed, Apple has released iOS 7 beta 4 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch to registered developers. The release follows Apple’s Developer Portal going back online late last week following an 8 day outage. The new seed is available via the over-the-air Software Update function in the iOS Settings app. The previous beta release brought several user-facing changes (video here), including a sharper system-wide font, interface enhancements to Safari, Calendar, App Store, and Music, as well as improvements to Home screen folder transparency, a functional built-in dictionary tool, and more improvements to Siri’s more realistic voices....

First, we heard that we wouldn’t get an AirPods refresh this March, now the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro with mini-LED display seems like it’s not ready to launch quite yet, but it could still come as soon as next month. According to a new report by DigiTimes (via MacRumors), the mass production of this new iPad will start in the second quarter of 2021, which begins in April and includes April, May, and June....

The YouTube channel Mrwhosetheboss always runs strenuous battery tests when the new iPhones come out. Of course, they are highly synthetic tests, but relative scores still count for something, and this year, the entire iPhone 13 lineup excels. In particular, the iPhone 13 Pro Max achieved 9 hours and 52 minutes of continuous usage, setting a record and beating any previous phone the channel has ever put through the tests. Telecoms analyst Michael Cote of the Cote Collaborative made the claims in chat with CNN. A former T-Mobile executive, the media outlet says he has been “extremely accurate with wireless predictions in the past.” Apple – being Apple – refused to comment on Cote’s claims that the computer-cum-iPod-cum-iPhone-cum-pro software and education solutions company is seeing “unprecedented demand”. The three million figure is much higher than Wall Street analysts had anticipated, CNN informs....

Our German is more than a little rusty (and so is Google’s) but it appears that five devices that are suspected of being either iPhone 5s or knockoffs were confiscated at the Munster-Osnabruck airport on July 21st. It still isn’t certain if they were real or fake but it is newsworthy that Germans are confiscating iPhones, real or fake, at the Airports since there are so many fake iPhones coming out of China, India and Sears these days....
