Earlier today, Samsung officially unveiled its brand new (and oft-leaked) Galaxy Note 9 with a 6.4-inch display. While Samsung touts the device’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and 6GB or 8GB of RAM under-the-hood, but earlier benchmarks show the device is still outperformed by the iPhone X… As highlighted by Tom’s Guide, who tested the Galaxy Note 9 with 6GB of RAM, the iPhone X was able to come out on top in the majority of benchmark tests....

The iOS 16 lock screen experience is undoubtedly a big step forward compared to what we had before, with animated wallpaper options like Weather and Astronomy, a sleek overlapping effect for portrait-style photos, the addition of widgets, the ability to easily switch been multiple lock screens, and more. The connector in the pictures is very similar in size to the micro USB one that (almost) everybody in the industry uses. The nine pin connector matches that of other rumors floating around, while others “close to the situation” say it will be a 19-pin connector. The connector in the photo shows 8 pins, but the shell itself might act as the ninth one. Late Friday afternoon Apple issued a press release stating that some iPhone 5 devices manufactured through March 2013 may have a defect that causes the sleep/wake button to fail. At that time, Apple positioned mail-in repairs as the only remedy for this issue, but we have learned today that there is another option that may allow affected customers to upgrade to an iPhone 5c/5s for free… According to internal documents furnished to Apple employees this weekend, US customers who make a Genius Bar appointment for the known sleep/wake issue can opt to trade-in their device and may receive up to $350 (or $370 in Canada) in credit, which is $80 over the current maximum for non-affected devices....

Besides the main 64-bit A7 processor in the new iPhone 5s, Apple has included a dedicated motion co-processor called the M7. The robot vacuum company placed the blame for its financial declines squarely on supply chain constraints. We’re likely just three weeks away from Apple unveiling three new flagship iPhones, but there’s still plenty of mystery about the new lineup. A new reference discovered in Apple’s Xcode 10 software may acknowledge the existence of at least one of those new models. iPhone 14 Plus sales continue to lag, but the overall iPhone 14 shipments are outpacing the iPhone 13 lineup from last year.
